Following several discussions and a teleconference the Wilmington Area Section has new officers and committees for 2009. Plans are underway to increase our activitity in membership, meetings, communication, networking, officer training, and awards. See the Officers Page

Molecules That Matter is an exhibit with accompanying lecture series at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA. Park your car nearby at the Bourse. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Lecture at 6:00 PM Reception at 7:00 PM

Through contemporary art, historical artifacts, and large-scale models, Molecules That Matter showcases ten organic molecules that profoundly altered modern life. In conjunction with this fascinating exhibition, several speakers — all leaders in their fields — will address the science in everyday experiences and the promise and peril of discovery and innovation. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED Lecture attendees will be able to visit the exhibition prior to and following each lecture.

The Hub at the Chemical Heritage Foundation has fully-equipped meeting rooms for groups of 2 to 400 adjacent to CHF's magnificent exhibit space and across the street from Independence National Historic Park.
